Villa EM is situated in the open country, about 300 meters from Prata, a small outlying suburb hamlet of the town Suvereto, in the province of Livorno, with a typical medieval old centre. Villa EM is about 3 kilometres from Suvereto. Here you can find all you need: banks, posts, chemists, grocer’ s shops, pizzerie, restaurants where you can enjoy good wine and especially the black wild boar, prepared according to the most delicious Tuscan recipes. The name Suvereto derives from the word “Sughereto”. (“sughero” means cork). In fact the country and the surrounding woods are full of cork oaks, which produce the cork. The water that supplies the whole outlying suburb hamlet of Prata and also Villa EM springs directly from"Fonte Annunziata", a small place in the green of chestnut trees and cork oaks few hundreds meters from the hotel. This water is very good. Villa EM is situated on a hill, 150 meters high. From here you can catch sight of the sea and dominate one of the beautiful plains of Val di Cornia. More precisely, it is possible to see the whole territory in front of Elba island, from Punta Ala (the country of Luna Rossa) to Piombino (a typical sea town and modern harbour for the embarkation to Elba island, which has been widened for a short time…….). In 30 minutes you can drive to many beaches of this coast, as Riva Verde, Perelli, Torre del sale etc. Driving northwards, beyond the promontory of Piombino, the coast forms the most beautiful gulf of the surroundings: Baratti, Buca delle Fate, Populonia, Rimigliano, il parco della Principessa to San Vincenzo. Villa EM has been built in 1800 by a peasant family. Later it has been completely renovated between the 80ies and 90ies.

The inside of the villa is in harmony with the surrounding environment. For the renovation, typical materials of the region have been used both for the inside and the outside: fired brick on the floors, stone and marble for the baths and the staircase, wood for the rooms, the frames and the window shutters. Entering from the main entrance, you can see three old doors of the old house, which have been renovated according to their original shape. The warm colours of our environment give you immediately a state of calm. The kitchen is completely functional with stoves, oven and fridge. On the left there is a small bathroom and a store room, where you can find the washing machine, the washtub and many house cleaning products. The apartment has a wide dining room with a great table and a sitting room with sofa and television. Behind the great couch there is a door window, which allows you to go into the garden, in front of a century-old maritime pine. In the dining room the stairs to the first floor are made of stones. Upstairs there are two bedrooms: The widest one is provided with a walk-in closet and a private bathroom with bathtub; the other two share the bathroom with a shower. The garden is very wide (around 2.500 qm.) and is situated on two different levels. There is a barbecue with a large table with benches and a beautiful pinewood where you can take marvellous naps on the four hammocks among the pines. The whole garden is well-lit, so you can use it for many activities during the night. Surely a holiday in Villa EM, with all its comforts, is good for you!
